# 2.6. Minimal Network Processing Costs

As far as actual use is concerned, NAXION is designed to require very low network costs for block consensus. Rising network costs often diminish the utility of blockchain networks, threatening their long-term viability. Many projects built on traditional blockchains struggle or fail due to excessive transaction fees, limiting practical adoption.
